The National Cover Crop Variety Testing Program aims to identify how new and existing cover crop varieties perform in a wide variety of locations across the country to help farmers, crop advisors, and members of the seed industry with decision making. In its second report, data from 13 states are provided for 35 different varieties representing seven different cover crop species during the 2025-2026 cover crop growing season.
