Horticulture, agroforestry, viticulture, and crop production systems research

Andy Thomas, PhD is a Research Assistant Professor in Plant Sciences based at the Southwest Research Center in Mt. Vernon, MO.  His research looks at a wide range of horticultural and agroforestry crops and production practices.  In addition to working with several conventional horticultural crops, his research explores the commercial potential for overlooked native fruit and nut crops including elderberries, black walnuts, hickories, persimmons, and pawpaws.
