Biogeochemist examining sustainability in various agroecosystems

Morgan Davis, PhD is an Assistant Professor in Soil and Environmental Sciences, in the School of Natural Resources at Mizzou.  His work contributes to our understand of ecological sustainability through his research on how the chemical elements of soil interact with other living systems and their physical environment.  In particular, he examines nitrogen and carbon transformations in different ecosystems, including both managed agricultural land and natural forested ecosystems.  His research interests also include soil health, soil greenhouse gas emissions, and regenerative agriculture practices such as cover crops, tillage management, and use of riparian buffers.
