Susanta Behura, PhD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Animal Sciences.  His research interests include animal disease and improving livestock fertility.  His work also contributes to our knowledge of insects, such as honey bees (Apis mellifera), and their importance to global ecology.  As a core faculty member for Mizzou’s Institute for Data Sciences & Informatics, he has expertise in developing collaborative interdisciplinary projects – an essential skill for generating science-based research to inform agricultural practices.
